Book of Job
Some would say the book of Job is the first so-called Poetical Book of the Bible. Poetry not in the rhyming of sounds but of ideas.
Job's name is a transliteration of the Hebrew word Iyov which means "the hated or persecuted one". Our previous article describes Job as Perfect - "usually pious , gentle and dear" and upright - "straight, pleased well and right". Well, these Hebrew dictionary has truly unlock that sense of possibility in all of us to attain. Job is also one who reverent God, putting Him into the picture of his everyday life. Eschewing evil brings up the definition of leaving undo, remove, depart from thoughts, actions and heart sins. Fulfilling the above with the Lord's hand will also help us earn that commendation and approval from God as Job.
It is interesting to note that the Book places spiritual wealth before any other form of wealth as the priority in one's live, disregarding any elevation brought about from the latter endowment. Also, another observation would be - that all his children are believed to be in the Lord, with Job's daily act of sanctifying them possible before God.
The devil has, what I still believe, free access to heavenly domain today like in the days of Job, vehemently accusing, defaming every possible subjects of God, in hope of plucking more souls onto his accursed fold. And it is also a recurring act where all other angelic subjects do meet regularly to "present themselves" before the Lord.
