Gen 3 - Thinking Pointers
- Adama and Eve were not surprised when the serpent talked to them, implying a possibility before fall of mankind, that a common tongue prevailed
- Ever wonder why the devil selected the serpent as his medium to communicate and tempt mankind? It's perhaps of its sleekness, stealthy silence during movement and one that can easily create an element of surprise in an encounter
- Truth mixed with error and brought across through subtle mental suggestions - A tactic used by the devil even today, worked wonderfully with Eve
- Lack of proper, sound knowledge of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was one factor contributing to the fall in mankind
- Temptation usually comes in an appeal to our flesh, pride and visual - A classic framework used on Jesus when He was tempted for 40 days in the wilderness
- The tree of the knowledge of good and evil exist to remind mankind of a higher order to obey and trust
- Disobedience that led to sin, resulted in much changes to the perfect world, including the introduction of killing, sacrificing, and a vast transformation to many species on earth
- God never short-changed His creation but the devil cunningly and viciously follow this path alway
- The first curse was pronounced on the serpent species by God, knowing very well, the mastermind should actually received this damnation
- The coming of Christ was foretold as early as the first book of the Bible
- The second curse pronounced is in agonizing pain in child-bearing and a shift in balance that man is being placed accountable for the family
- The third curse was directed at the removal of "auto" agriculture for food but work is now mandatory
- The fourth curse is that mankind's life expectancy is now limited, signifying death as imminent in all
- The women was named Eve only after the fall
- A cherubim and a flaming sword now prohibits man's enjoyment from the tree of life
- Immortality is possible only with the periodic consumption of the tree of life. Mankind by design is not an immortal like Angels
