Gen 6 - Thinking Pointers
1. At the time of Noah, it is estimated that the world population has reached millions
2. A breach in those who are God-centered with the wicked resulted in a world filled with wickedness and rampant decay
3. Giants denote men of great renown and prowess, and does not imply men of extraordinary physical stature as we so commonly know
4. God's sorrow in men's wicked condition does not imply that a mistake in creating man was made but only reaffirm's God's justice to deal with the whole situation decisively
5. Only Noah (out of the millions) stayed close to God and that made the difference! As individuals, believe today that each of our single conduct can still move God's hand in the known universe!
6. The ark's dimension is 157m (length) by 26m (breadth) by 15.7m (height), made with water-repellent kopher wood (wood with bitumen) and only with a window!
7. We are constantly reminded to work to the fullest potential of the boundary God set in our lives - God did not need to tell Noah that the flood will last 40 days while he readies the food supply
8. Plain, simple obedience is what God looks for in us, not superfluous piety, formalities, and form - as when Noah obeyed to build the ark with his family
