Quiet Time - Progression of the Lord's Display of His Power
From the simple act of turning a rod into a lively serpent, we not only witness an increase in the sphere of impact of God's revealing judgement onto Pharaoh, but also in their severity. It is also interesting to note that the Egyptian magicians have finally met their match when they no longer could replicate the signs of Moses and Aaron on the fourth judgment - Lice.
It is also clear to note of the Lord's dealing with man, that it usually provides an opportunity to response to. If that opportunity is not seized, the time window will lapse towards a new event, activity or cycle. But also be mindful that it was the Lord who "manipulated" Pharaoh's heart, giving us a glimpse into how the Lord so choose to work to glorify Himself through eternity.
