God Wants His Glory...

Remember that faithful day when God sifted out 300 ordinary man to bring victory to the Israelites? O yes, not 32,000 but 300...against the hundreds of thousands of blood-thirsty Midianites. And the account gets better - they were armed with but trumpets and brightly-lit pitchers (a sort of lamp in our context), and they won!

Madness and absurdity are words we probably use to describe their tactics of war, if only we recognize the truth which are meant for us in Judges 7. God wants none of that proud spirit of ours in overwhelming situation of ours. It can be the ruthless office politics we face, a dim-witted boss, poor business cashflow or even broken family relationships. You name it.

When the odds arise, I want you to remember dearly what happened on that faithful day when God delivered the Isrealites by sending each Midianites' sword against the belly of one another. Move forward with total dependence and faith on Him, while doing what God let you do best. Re-live Judges 7 today and share your war stories with us...
